Pacific Spitfires is the ONLY membership based Spitfire reference website in the world! The site began in 2000 under the stewardship of antipodean researchers, Mal Kingston, David Knight and PV 'Prof' Lloyd. In 2003 the site came under the umbrella of Aero Imageworks, a specialist scale model decal and aviation history publication business based in South Australia.

The 'Prof' combines his  university acquired, post-grad level  research skills, pilot training and artistic flair to give an informed, authoritative and beautifully illustrated analysis of the  Spitfire in RAAF service that has made Pacific Spitfires a world renowned reference work. The site continues to grow in size and popularity earning an enviable reputation for high quality, accurate information, analysis and simply stunning 'profile' artwork!
